FAQ

What is Graphic Define Magazine?
An online magazine that focuses on the business of running a graphic, web, or interactive design studio.

Isn't "online magazine" just a fancy pants name for "e-zine"
Yeah, but it has a nicer ring to it!

How did it start?
Graphic Define Magazine originally started as a blog by Daniel Schutzsmith in 2003 while he was the acting Business Manager at The Chopping Block.

Who running this thing?
Right now the magazine logistics such as design, issue layout, and editorial is run by Daniel. Articles are all user submitted.

If this is all about community, why do you have ads?
We're trying to build up the funds to be able to compensate writers for their contribution. Currently the revenue from ads is being collected to make writer compensation a reality.

How can I submit something to be published?
Send an email to Creative Commons License page for the complete low-down on what we allow/disallow.

Why can't I find what I am looking for?
Maybe it doesn't exist here anymore? Or maybe you just need to search (in the upper right corner)?

How often is Graphic Define Magazine published?
We try to publish within the first business week of each month, but give us until the middle of the second week before you break down our door.

How can I find out about placing an ad on Graphic Define Magazine or striking up a partnership?
We are actively looking for a partner that wants to help us make this site grow. We have big plans and are looking for that right design centric company that understands how important the topic of business is to truly growing the design industries.
